Earlier this year, we set off on an unforgettable trip along Australia’s east coast, visiting iconic spots like Sydney Harbour, Bondi Beach, and the Great Barrier Reef to name a few. But the place that meant the most to us was Byron Bay. In the early hours of March 12th, we jumped out of our bunkbeds and hiked under the stars to Byron Bay Lighthouse to catch the sunrise. After dodging a few annoying influencers, we found a quiet spot to watch the sun come up and turn the sky golden. In that special moment, we got engaged. After a few tears, cuddles, and some excited calls home, we spent the rest of the day celebrating in traditional Aussie style with a surf lesson, cold cans on the beach, and the tastiest Asian meal we’ve ever had!
